La Camarilla opened July 4, 1982 and was a premier sports club facility until it was sold in March, 2019. For over 36 years, this award winning landmark club offered an exciting blend of racquet sports, fitness and swim amenities. The Johnson family owned and operated it.
It created a unique atmosphere that welcomed individuals and families of all ages. The club offered its members and guests 13 lighted tennis courts, 12 pickleball courts, seven indoor racquetball courts, a 25-meter, outdoor, heated swimming pool, members lounge, two large weight rooms, childcare including a nursery and junior room, a group fitness room with aerobics and yoga classes, an indoor cycling studio, physical therapy and spa services including hair and nail salon, massage and facial studios, along with a certified friendly staff of tennis pros and fitness trainers.
